How to enable zero-tax orders with Magento VAT extension?

Magento enables a setup of zero-tax orders when the VAT Number is valid without a single third-party module. Use our tutorial to make it possible in your store.

In case you have any difficulties with the built-in vat validation in Magento 2, feel free to use our module. It will be easier and faster than the default Magento way.

Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Swissup Checkout > Tax VAT and set to Yes the following fields:

• Show VAT Number on Storefront.
• Validate VAT number using VIES service.
• Remove tax if VAT Number is valid.

Save the updates.

As you can see, with our module, you can set tax to zero when the VAT number is valid. Yet tax-free purchases are not supported for multi-shipping checkout.

Note: We integrated the Checkout VAT with VIES validation service. Sometimes the service is offline, so your customers will be able to place orders with an invalid VAT number. In such a case the Tax-free purchase will not be available.
